Bio

Candace S. Faircloth was born and raised in the small rural town of Loris, South Carolina, and immediately fell in love with Union County and surrounding areas for their familiar small-town charm. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law from Coastal Carolina University before pursuing her law degree and became licensed to practice in North Carolina in 2013. Candace is a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist representing clients regarding all aspects of Family Law.

Experience & Scope of Practice

Candace is an active member of the Union County Bar Association, Mecklenburg County Bar, and the Family Law and Young Lawyer’s Divisions of the North Carolina Bar Association. She was selected to the North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, a designation limited to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys within North Carolina. She was also elected to Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite list for Family Law in 2021, 2022, and 2023, a list comprised of lawyers whose peers have been selected as one of the best practitioners in their field in the State of North Carolina.

Prior to joining Collins Family & Elder Law Group, Candace was in the courtroom daily, advocating for victims of domestic violence in her role as attorney fellow with Safe Alliance. Since joining Collins Family & Elder Law Group, Candace has vigorously advocated for her clients both in the courtroom and in settlement negotiations regarding divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and domestic violence protective orders, to name a few.

Candace is committed to providing common-sense legal representation to her clients by guiding them through the complex divorce process from start to finish. She strives to provide the best support possible for those who find themselves in need of legal representation and believes that each client’s situation should be handled as if it were her own.

Practice Philosophy

Well-Prepared at All Times

In my practice, I strive to be well-prepared at all times and in all aspects of each case. My goal is to ensure that each client understands all potential outcomes and the likelihood of certain results, whether the client chooses to let the courts handle their matter or resolve the matter outside of court. I do this so that my clients are well-prepared to move forward in their lives once this part of their life is over.
