Bio

Nancy Roberts, Attorney at Law for Collins Family & Elder Law Group, is based in the Dilworth office in Charlotte, NC. A native North Carolinian, Nancy is also one of those rare people who was born and (mostly) raised in Charlotte. As a teenager, Nancy spent about a year in Surry, England.

Nancy attended and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, North Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina where she graduated cum laude.

Experience & Scope of Practice

After finishing law school, Nancy worked at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Among other things, she litigated health and environmental law cases for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Nancy also owned and operated her own estate planning and elder law firm in North and South Carolina for a number of years.

Immediately prior to joining Collins Family and Elder Law Group, Nancy worked as a Judicial Hearing Officer with the Mecklenburg County Clerk’s Office where she heard and decided estate, guardianship, and partition cases, as well as certain Civil, Family, and Special Proceeding cases that are tried before the Clerk.

When she is not working, Nancy loves spending time with her family and rescue pets. Her hobbies include walking, reading, travelling, languages, and finding great new restaurants.
