Bio

Ali Miller, Attorney at Law for Collins Family & Elder Law Group, is based in the Dilworth office in Charlotte, NC. Ali was born in a small town in east Tennessee but has also lived in Singapore and Japan. Being raised in both a small town and large cities and having been exposed to different cultures and people, she quickly felt at home in the Charlotte area.

She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Georgia Southern University, where she played on the women’s tennis team as a division 1 scholarship athlete. Always highly competitive, she pursued her law degree and became licensed to practice in North Carolina in 2014. Since becoming licensed, Ali has devoted her entire practice to family law.

Experience & Scope of Practice

Ali Miller is a skilled litigation and cooperative resolution attorney. She is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar and the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She is also a Certified Parenting Coordinator who works to guide and assist in high-conflict custody cases.

She received the Safe Alliance Commitment to Justice Award in 2015 for her dedication to victims of domestic violence. Ali represents clients in all areas of family law, including child custody, child support, post-separation support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, divorce, mediation, arbitration, and separation agreements. Outside the office and courtroom, Ali enjoys pursuing her passion for photography, playing tennis, running, and spending time with her husband and two children.

She believes the family unit is of the utmost importance, so she decided to become a family law attorney to help people get to the other side of divorce with peace and dignity.

Ali grew up watching several of her family members navigate the path of separation and divorce, and she witnessed how it affected and changed the trajectory of their lives. Understanding that every client has their own unique goals and needs when navigating through the issues of separation and divorce, she works with her clients through each adjustment to allow them to begin the next chapter with as much financial and emotional stability as possible.
