Bio
Chelsea Josey, Attorney at Law, is licensed to practice in South Carolina, representing clients in the areas of family law, family dispute, and domestic relations. Chelsea is from Detroit, Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Pre-Law, at Michigan State University in 2016. She then proceeded to law school in South Carolina and received her juris doctor at Charleston School of Law in 2020. Chelsea is a proud resident of the Charleston Lowcountry who can provide legal advice to those families in need across the state of South Carolina, including counties such as Charleston, Berkeley, Georgetown, Sumter and Dorchester.
Experience
After Chelsea graduated law school, she began her legal profession in real estate law where she accumulated the knowledge to close on homes and provide title searches reaching back 40 or 60 years. She continued to build a strong legal background by becoming a civil litigation defense attorney in the Lowcountry, representing clients in personal injury, premise liability, vehicular accidents, construction defect cases, and many more tort-related cases. With a strong legal foundation, Chelsea is now practicing her true passion in family law where she continues to expand her knowledge as a South Carolina attorney.

Personal Interests
In her free time, Chelsea loves enjoying the Charleston weather with her family, whether it’s playing a round of golf, boating on the Ashley River, or taking leisurely walks in Downtown Charleston for some sight-seeing. She also has a passion for the cool Mountain air where she loves spending a weekend for some hiking or snowboarding. Finally, Chelsea comes from a family of musicians. As a pianist for over 25 years, she loves to talk music or even share her talent on the piano or guitar with other musicians.
