Bio
DeAnna is primarily based in our Monroe location, with occasional inter-office travel. She works closely with elder law attorneys, managing schedules, files, gathering information, drafting documents, and case management. Her goal is to help clients navigate through the process of Estate Administration and Estate Planning. She feels it is important that every client is guided all the way from start to finish with care and empathy, especially during sensitive subjects that come with Administration and Estates. Her goal is to make clients feel as comfortable as possible as we take them through the entire process.
Education & Experience
DeAnna was born in Hoboken, NJ, but raised in the sunshine state in Orlando, FL. After moving to North Carolina, she obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Technology at South Piedmont Community College. Also, at which time she received her certification for Microsoft and becoming a Notary Public. She began her work as an Estate paralegal in 2021. Before becoming a Paralegal, she spent eight years in various positions working in the customer service field, always striving to show her love and care for people.

Personal
Outside of work DeAnna loves to engage in anything creative. Whether it be drawing, painting, writing, playing piano, or singing, that is what she loves doing. Her artwork placed first in the Union County Art Show in the category of multimedia in 2012. She also loves spending time with her husband and family of two dogs, one cat, and a rehabilitated eastern grey squirrel.
Philosophy
The quote that always speaks to her is “When you put love out in the world it travels, and it can touch people and reach people in ways that we never even expected.”-Laverne Cox
With that being said, her personal philosophy is that attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. Treat everyone with love and see your goodness affect others for the better.

"Collins Family Law Group was very helpful through a difficult time."
Candace walked me through the process of divorce and child custody advising me on things that I had not considered. She helped me to protect my children and their best interests.

"Ms. Collins was very helpful during my custody hearing. It was not about the money for her; instead, it was about doing what was right for my child and me."
She was fair, open, and honest. She informed me of my rights as well as the rights of my ex-husband. She was not out for blood, but just out for what my child and I were entitled to.
