Education & Experience
Liz was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and spent much of her adult life in Long Beach. She attended Cal State Dominguez Hills University, where she graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Juvenile Delinquency.
Liz was a preschool teacher for many years, specializing in working with children who had developmental delays and behavioral disorders. Seeking a new challenge, she transitioned into the social services field. In California, she worked for the County of Orange Child Support Services in the legal department alongside the state attorneys.
After relocating to South Carolina, she joined the Department of Social Services, focusing on adoptions and foster care. It was during this time that Liz discovered her passion for the legal field, particularly Family Law. To pursue this interest, she obtained a Paralegal certification from the University of South Carolina.

"Ms. Collins was very helpful during my custody hearing. It was not about the money for her; instead, it was about doing what was right for my child and me."
She was fair, open, and honest. She informed me of my rights as well as the rights of my ex-husband. She was not out for blood, but just out for what my child and I were entitled to.
